BR CREDIT · TRANSPARENCY

Consumer Rights

Transparency starts with knowing your rights.

Choosing credit assistance should be an informed decision. Here are key federal protections and free resources to help you understand your options. State law may provide additional rights.

You can dispute errors yourself

You do not need to hire BR Credit or any other company to dispute credit report errors. You can contact the credit reporting company and the business that supplied the information directly, at no cost. Explain what you believe is wrong and keep copies of supporting documents. See the CFPB’s dispute instructions.

You can review your credit reports

Visit AnnualCreditReport.com, the authorized source for free reports from the three nationwide credit bureaus. Reviewing your reports helps you identify information that may need correction.

You deserve clear written terms

For services covered by the Credit Repair Organizations Act, you must receive the required disclosures and a written contract describing the services, total cost, payment terms, estimated completion time, and any guarantees. You should receive copies of the documents you sign. A website summary does not replace those documents. Read the written-contract requirements.

You have a right to cancel

Under that federal law, you may cancel a covered contract without penalty or obligation before midnight of the third business day after signing. Your contract must include a cancellation notice explaining how to exercise this right. Follow that notice and keep a copy of your cancellation. Contact us if you need help locating your documents. Read the cancellation protections.

You are protected from prohibited advance fees

The Credit Repair Organizations Act prohibits charging or receiving payment for an agreed service before that service is fully performed. Other laws may impose additional payment restrictions. A price shown on this website does not override those protections. Read the federal payment rule.

You deserve honest expectations

Accurate, current negative information generally cannot be removed simply because it is unfavorable. BR Credit does not guarantee deletions, a particular credit score, financing approval, or a specific outcome. Our work focuses on education, review, and assistance with potentially inaccurate, incomplete, or unverifiable information.

You can raise concerns

Ask us to explain anything you do not understand. You can also report concerns to the FTC or your state attorney general, and find complaint information through the CFPB. You do not need our permission to contact a regulator or seek independent advice.

This is a general educational summary, not legal advice or the separate disclosures required before a credit-repair agreement. For an overview, see the FTC’s credit repair guidance.
